This dormant energy, known as Kundalini, resides at the base of the spine and, when awakened, rises to achieve self-realization. While traditional Yoga paths like Hatha, Bhakti, Mantra, and Raja Yoga require discipline and effort, Maha/Siddha Yoga offers a simpler path where a realized Guru awakens the Kundalini through initiation. Once awakened, this energy guides the individual internally, facilitating spiritual growth, transformation, and eventual union with the universal consciousness.
